Rapist should be Hanged, What about News Traders?

NDA 1 and 2 lead by NaMo has done some of the most thorny tasks. Presence of Shri Amit Shah in cabinet as Home Minister has definitely added a lot of value to the government and confidence to the law abiding citizens. 370 and CAA were never easy. Ayodhya in the background and peaceful  acceptance of the verdict has all gone well.

However, desperation of news traders, opposition, show business celebrities, self declared intellectual, historians and social activists were eager for riots and it was written all over.

From fixing cabinet seats to passing crucial information on live telecast to handlers of Kasav, from doing rehearsal of fake protests in Lucknow to spreading rumour of Salt being sold at INR 400 per kg. From presenting a pre recorded interview of Sri Sri Ravishankar as live debate to asking security of Parliament to close main gate so that other journalists don’t get a chance to cover the story. The list is endless and crime are big.

Now let us see the connect between rapists and newstraders.

Everyone wants rapists to be hanged. Why?

Because we know and accept that rape is a heinous crime and the least that can be done to instil fear in mind of criminals and reassure the victims family, is hang the rapist/s.

Recent violence after CAA is some cities has once again exposed the role played by News Traders. What they show, why they show, what are the topics of prime time debates and what kind of articles and opeds  are written in Indian and overseas print media. They are openly challenging the law enforcement agencies and government.

With due regards to police, they are yet to arrest any senior journalist for spreading rumour that leads to widespread violence. This starts from the ones who were writing openly on social media that a particular community people are being killed openly, they are doing it now and even. Not that the police officers are incapable but their hands are tied. Ongoing violent protests are an excellent example. Ram Rahim followers were shot dead but with minority, the approach is of caution. That’s the reality.  

Yes media needs freedom but that freedom is not absolute.  How on earth can an anchor or a journalist demand a resignation of a government officer or a politician and remain  unethical in own profession.   One has to walk the talk. But that will never happen.

Bombay HC observed,  “Journalists have no special privilege or greater freedom than others to ruin the reputation of a citizen”.

No action is taken against the habitual trouble makers in media. The government obviously is scared of negative publicity. Well, Indira Gandhi imposed  Emergency, forced SECULAR through 42^nd Amendment and media crawled. Here, we have a genuine reason to take legal action against the news traders. Why wait? Their hate against nation and fake secularism has created enough of unrest in some cities. Blood is on their hand. They are architect of violence, they are messenger of enemy state, they are creators of fake hero from college and university, they are catalyst of unrest.  

Their crime is much bigger than a rapist. In a rape one cheerful budding life is brought to a standstill and her family suffers the pain. Here they are playing with the nation by spreading rumours and justifying it. The TAG of fourth pillar of democracy is good for genuine journalists. Not for the ones who use it to spread hate against Hindus and consistently weaken the nation with their Breaking India agenda.

Twice Hon PM had tweeted on law and order in the past. Time for a tweet to tell the news traders 3P – Perform as Professionals or Perish.

Ministry of Home and NIA should take preventive measures to stop large scale violence. After great effort situation is coming under control in Kashmir. But the time tested formula is being copy pasted as and when required in rest of India. Protest against CAA is live example. A section of media has given more air time to add to the non existent issue than assist government in handling it. Important to share another case and from Hon. Supreme Court of India.

News traders have done a serious crime. High time government invokes Article 19 (2) .  It can impose reasonable restrictions upon the freedom of speech and expression in the interests of public order.

The way news traders and many in opposition are are misusing FoE, law abiding citizens should demand death sentence for news traders. They just can’t walk away after  spreading rumour that leads to violence and return to curse the police, judiciary and government for not taking action.
